Impact Protection
About 400 virtual crash simulations were done during the Fiesta's development, with every simulation taking approximately 5 hours of a super computer. Each of these computers have 256 CPU's (a normal computer has one) and 10,00,000 MB RAM (a normal computer has 512mb). In fact, the computers engaged in this exercise are similar to the ones used by NASA.
ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) with EBD
Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) determines the load condition on the front and rear axles and makes differentiated adjustments to the braking pressures. ABS also allows the driver to swerve around an obstacle without having to release the brakes. With ABS the driver is in full control always.
Dual airbag
Air bags supplement the safety belt by reducing the chance that the passenger's head and upper body will strike some part of the vehicle's interior. They also help reduce the risk of serious injury by distributing crash forces more evenly across the occupant's body
