Ford Ikon Specification
Suspension
The Ikon uses a new combination of front suspension systems developed for Ford's European models like the Ford Fiesta and the Ford Ka. The suspension layout follows the highly successful Ford MacPherson strut configuration, with lower A-shaped arms, to improve running refinement and dynamic control. The twist beam rear suspension design matched to the front suspension provides well-balanced handling.
Chassis Design
The Ikon's stiff body structure plays a key role in isolating ride comfort and running refinement. The rigid supporting platform helps in keeping noise, vibration and harshness to minimal levels. Stability and instinctive controllability have been built into the chassis system to provide maximum vehicle control.
